1. Open panel dental plans permits any dentists that you choose to participate to give you dental services for the plan whenever you wanted to utilize it. It is advisable to choose a dentist who enrolled in the dental insurance company for greater benefits.



2. Closed panel dental plans permit only the dentist approved by the dental insurance company. This is helpful in reducing the expenses of the insurance company in such a way that they have negotiated a contract within networks of dentist’s providers.



Dental insurance companies should cater to all the needs of their clients. What are the characteristics of a dental insurance company?



- They should have the leadership equip with management staff having distinguished credentials in their professional fields including individuals with qualified master’s degrees, Ph.D, prominent lawyers or previous president of an insurance company.
